Dilek Ince, MD is a Clinical Professor at the University of Iowa where she serves as Director of Transplant Infectious Diseases and Medical Director of Antimicrobial Stewardship. Her clinical interested include infections in immunocompromised hosts and antimicrobial resistance and stewardship. Dr. Ince completed her medical education followed by training in infectious disease and clinical microbiology at Istanbul University. Following research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, she completed her residency and fellowship training at the University of Iowa, where she stayed on as faculty. She is a member of the American Society of Transplantation Infectious Disease Community of Practice and a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA) and Society of Hospital Epidemiology of America (SHEA). She has been participating in a workgroup under IDSA to build an Antimicrobial Stewardship Curriculum for infectious disease trainees.
