I have been a staff physician in Infectious Diseases at the Cleveland Clinic (Cleveland OH) since 1992, where I currently serve as Vice Chairman of ID. I am also joint appointed in the Microbiology Laboratory. I have been involved in medical education at several levels for a number of years, having served as Program Director for the ID fellowship at Cleveland Clinic for 25 years, and have been an associate program director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program as well. My clinical activities are primarily in the neuro-ID section at Cleveland Clinic, a dedicated inpatient service focused on neurologic and neurosurgical infectious diseases. I am the coordinator of educational activities for neuro-ID, for fellows, medical residents, neurology residents and medical students. My research interests are in clinical neuro-ID and simulation in medical education.
