Dr. George M. Viola is a Professor of Medicine at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is currently the director of the Solid Cancer and Surgical-Related Infectious Diseases clinical service. Dr. Viola is also an expert on managing complex Infectious Diseases in patients living with cancer. Furthermore, his main areas of research includes the prevention and treatment of several device related infections such as: Ommaya Reservoirs, Central Venous Access Devices, Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices, Breast Implants and Tissue Expanders, as well as Nephrostomy and Ureteral Stents.
